Dear Parents,
My name is Andrew Celio and I’m grateful for joining the team at Hearst. I’ve heard nothing but positive things about Hearst and I feel it will be a great fit for me. I utilize leadership, positive energy, advocacy, and collaboration into my practice. I keep lines of communication open with parents and support staff, and feel collaboration and consistency are very important.
The following is some background information in regards to my education and experience. I am a graduate of North Central College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, a graduate from Dominican University's Special Education Master’s program, and I also completed the BCBA respecialization program at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have over 10 years experience teaching students in a school and home environment. I have created and implemented lessons focusing on academic, functional skills and communication. I use TEACCH, ABA, PRT, FCT and modify curriculum to keep students engaged and learning. I am a team player who is socially minded and eager to enhance the growth of my students' personal and academic development.
I look forward to meeting everyone and to building relationships with the students and families.
