Interventionist - Rm 212

I am very excited to be working as the new reading interventionist at Phoebe A. Hearst Fine Arts Magnet School this year! I have over a decade of teaching experience within Chicago Public Schools.  I have spent most of my career working here on the southwest side of the city.  I have previously taught at both the intermediate and middle school levels and have very much enjoyed my time helping students learn and grow.  I’m looking forward to a successful and rewarding school year at Hearst!

I earned my degree in education from Quincy University, however, I am from Maryland, and originally attended the University of Maryland, majoring in English and creative writing.  I love to read, write stories, play sports including soccer and basketball, and spend time with family and friends.  My wife is also a Chicago Public School teacher and I have two daughters who also attend Chicago Public Schools.  

I look forward to an exciting and successful year together!
