Bio: Cecilia Park teaches K-8 Visual Art at Hearst Elementary School. 2020 marks her fourth year of teaching as well as teaching at Hearst. In her passion for teaching and sharing art, her desire as the art educator is to empower her students and encourage + motivate students to explore their worlds through art.
Cecilia was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in New Jersey. After many years on the East Coast, she moved to South Korea and went to an international school for high school. After graduating, she moved to Chicago in 2013 to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she received her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts with an Emphasis in Art Education and became an art teacher!
Her favorite medium to work in is printmaking and woodworking.
She also loves to clean, go hiking, practicing yoga, cooking, listening to music, being near a body of water, and finding restaurants with yummy food.
